PromptKit

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

1. What we collect

Account data — email address, username, and authentication data, handled by our authentication provider, Clerk. We don’t see or store your password.

Content you create — prompts, workflows, votes, saves, and any run history you choose to record while using the runner.

Billing data — if you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe via Clerk Billing. We don’t receive or store your full card details.

Usage data — basic technical data (e.g. requests, errors) needed to operate and secure the Service. The guided runner tracks step progress and inputs primarily in your browser’s local storage; recorded runs saved to your account are only stored if you use that feature.

2. What we don’t do

We don’t sell your personal data. We don’t send your prompts or inputs to any AI model — PromptKit never calls an LLM on your behalf, so nothing you type into the runner is transmitted to a third-party model provider by us.

3. How we use it

  • To operate the Service — authentication, saves, voting, the runner, billing
  • To show your posted content to other users, attributed to your username
  • To secure the Service — detecting abuse, rate-limiting, debugging errors
  • To communicate with you about your account, when necessary

4. Third-party processors

We rely on a small number of subprocessors to run the Service:

  • Clerk — authentication and subscription billing (Clerk Billing, backed by Stripe)
  • Neon — Postgres database hosting
  • Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure

Each processes data only as needed to provide their part of the Service, under their own privacy policies.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time; this removes your account data. Content you posted publicly may persist in forks other users made from it, with attribution, as described in the Terms.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Cookies

We use cookies required for authentication (set by Clerk) and essential site functionality. We don’t use third-party advertising trackers.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
